Billionaire and owner of micro-blogging site, Twitter, Elon Musk, has announced Linda Yaccarino, as the new company’s Chief Executive Officer.
Musk disclosed this on Friday in a tweet, stating that Yaccarino will replace him as Twitter’s boss.
His tweet read, “I am excited to welcome Linda Yaccarino as the new CEO of Twitter,”
“@LindaYacc will focus primarily on business operations, while I focus on product design & new technology.
“Looking forward to working with Linda to transform this platform into X, the everything app.”
The new Twitter CEO was the global head of advertising and partnerships at NBC.
Similarly, Yaccarino also announced her resignation from NBCUniversal on Friday morning,
WITHIN NIGERIA recalls that Musk had revealed on Thursday that he had hired a new female CEO for the social media platform without naming her at the time.
According to Musk, the new CEO will start work in the six weeks time while he becomes executive chair and chief technology officer, “overseeing product, software and sysops.”
