A 25-year-old woman, Raham Sulaiman, has been arrested by the police in Kano State for allegedly “kidnapping” her 6-year-old daughter, Hafsat Kabiru, and demanding N3m ransom from her ex-husband.

Sulaiman allegedly took her daughter to a nearby relative in Madobi to keep for her, claiming she would travel for several days.

The State Commissioner of Police, Muhammad Usaini Gumel, disclosed these when he paraded the woman alongside other suspects arrested for various crimes, at the police headquarters in Bompai on Thursday, May 11, 2023.

The police boss explained that the command received a report from the husband, Kabiru Shehu, that his daughter had been kidnapped.
