The corpse of a yet-to-be-identified naked man was found in a car on Thursday morning around the Isheri, Olowora Road, Ojodu Berger in Lagos State
According to PUNCH, an eyewitness, who spoke on the condition of anonymity for fear of victimisation, said the naked man was found dead in a black Toyota car.
The corpse was said to be lying across the front seats of the car with his head on the driver’s seat and leg stretched across the passenger’s seat.
Eyewitnesses said the man was not known to be a resident of the area and no mark of violence was found on the man.
Another resident, however, said although the deceased was not a resident, some hawkers said he was a known face in the area.
The resident said, “We woke up to see his body lying naked in the car. There was no sign of violence on his body.
“No one can say what was responsible for his death. The best people can do is to speculate.
“He was found lying across his car’s front seat with his head on the driver’s seat while his leg is on the passenger’s seat. One of the hawkers in the area said he was a regular face in the area. The man was completely naked. His shirt and trousers were found on the floor of the car.”
It was gathered that policemen from the Isheri Divisional Headquarters visited the scene and evacuated the corpse while they also removed the car.
PUNCH reported that a police officer at the station disclosed that the corpse was later deposited at the morgue of a general hospital in the area.
“We are aware of the incident. We have taken the body to the General Hospital. You can contact the PPRO for more details,” the police officer said.
However, the State Police Public Relations Officer, Ben Hundeyin, could not be reached as of the time this report was filed.
