Paris Saint-Germain have reportedly identified Arsenal target Moussa Diaby as a possible replacement for striker Kylian Mbappe should the France international depart the club this summer.
Mbappe, who turned down a deal to Real Madrid last summer, is reportedly interested in joining the Spanish La Liga winners this summer.
El Nacional reports that Real Madrid is planning a €200 million offer for Mbappe in the forthcoming summer transfer window.
PSG, on the other hand, is not keen on losing Mbappe, given the upcoming departure of another high-profile star, Lionel Messi.
The French Ligue 1 winners are adamant on keeping Mbappe. However, if no new agreement is reached, they may be unable to block his departure in a year.
As a result, the report added that PSG and its president Nasser Al-Khelaifi are reportedly keen to sign Diaby, who currently plays for Bayer Leverkusen and has attracted the attention of Arsenal, Chelsea, and Liverpool.
This news comes amid reports of Mbappe’s dissatisfaction with PSG manager Christophe Galtier’s management blueprint.
Mbappe will become a free agent in 2024.
