According to reports in the UK, Tottenham Hotspur will not appoint former Bayern Munich manager Julian Nagelsmann as the club’s new manager.
Tottenham Hotspur, who are currently sixth in the Premier League, has been without a permanent manager since March when Antonio Conte was fired.
Nagelsmann, who was fired by Bundesliga champions Bayern Munich in March, has been linked to the position since.
According to reports in the United Kingdom on Friday, there have been no negotiations between Spurs and the 35-year-old German tactician, and Spurs are not considering him for the position.
Spurs are looking for a long-term replacement for Conte after firing interim manager Cristian Stellini and replacing him with Ryan Mason in April.
According to journalist Guillem Balague, Tottenham has contacted Brighton manager Roberto de Zerbi, while other reports have linked Burnley manager and former Manchester City defender Vincent Kompany to the managerial position.
Nagelsmann, who was fired as Bayern Munich manager on March 24 after winning five consecutive league games, has also been linked to Chelsea, which has been without a permanent manager since April following Graham Potter’s dismissal.
When he was 28, the German tactician took over at Hoffenheim before moving on to coach RB Leipzig and lead them to the Champions League semifinals.
After that, he joined Bayern in 2021, where he won the league title and two German Supercups in his first season.
Thomas Tuchel, a former Chelsea manager, took over as Bayern Munich’s manager in March.
