Mikel Arteta, the manager of Arsenal, has admitted that he is to blame for the team’s 3-0 loss against Brighton on Sunday.
For the guests, Julio Encisco, Deniz Undav, and Pervis Estupinan all scored goals in the second half.
If Manchester City defeats Chelsea at the Etihad next week, they will now be crowned champions.
When asked what was responsible for his team’s collapse, Arteta told BBC: “I always like to defend my players, so I take responsibility.”
He added: “I stood here and very proud of what we did last week, but today we have to apologise to our people.
“We have to move on very quickly and not keep that feeling for a long time.”
