Roma, an Italian Serie A club, is said to have set a €45 million price tag on former Chelsea striker Tammy Abraham ahead of the summer transfer window.

Tammy Abraham, who joined Roma two summers ago after being unable to play regularly at Chelsea, has performed well enough to pique the interest of a few English clubs.

So far in the 2022-2023 season, the 25-year-old England international has 9 goals and 7 assists in 51 games across all competitions.

His efforts have helped his team to sixth place with 60 points in 36 games, four points behind fourth-placed AC Milan with two league games remaining. They are also in the Europa League final, which means they can still qualify for the Champions League next season if they defeat Sevilla on May 31.

Despite his relatively improved performance at Roma, Il Messaggero, an Italian publication, claimed that Abraham’s future at Roma is in doubt. This claim came after the Nigerian-born British footballer, who had his first child earlier this month, wrote on Instagram that only God can decide his future.

According to reports in Italy, Roma sporting director Tiago Pinto has set a €45 million price tag on Tammy Abraham, which is roughly the same amount Roma paid Chelsea for his signature in the summer of 2021.

If Abraham had scored more goals this season, his value would have increased. However, his inconsistency in front of goal has made him less expensive than expected and has encouraged Roma to let him go this summer if a willing suitor comes along.

Despite having an €80 million buy-back clause in his contract, Chelsea appears uninterested in repurchasing him this summer. As a result, Manchester United and Aston Villa are said to be competing for his signature.
