Nasarawa bomb explosion kills two

A suspected bomb explosion in Keffi metropolis, the headquarters of Keffi Local Government Area of Nasarawa State, has killed two persons.

The incident reportedly happened in the early hours of Sunday, opposite General Hospital, along Nasarawa Road, Keffi.

According to DAILY POST, as early as 6am on Sunday, residents of Keffi town trooped out in their numbers to the scene of the two-bedroom residential apartment that was affected by the explosion.

“the incident killed two male occupants of the rented apartment in the area.” the media outlet quoted a source as saying.

He explained that the victims returned to Keffi from their journey on Saturday afternoon.

He alleged that they (victims) were on the wanted list of the Department of State Security (DSS) before nemesis caught up with them, stressing that the victims understood that the DSS operatives had surrounded their house and had no option rather than to blow off themselves with an explosive.

DSP Rahman Nansel, the Police Public Relation Officer, in the state is yet to react to the incident.
