The police in Delta state say an eighteen-year-old suspected cultist, Difference Sunday, have been arrested in Ekrerhawe, a community in Ughelli North Local Government Area of Delta State.
According to the police, the suspect was arrested by operatives of the state police command attached to Agbarho Police Station during a routine surveillance patrol.
A locally made, cut-to-size gun was recovered from the suspect, who lived in Isiokolo, Ethiope-East Local Government Area.
Delta State Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Bright Edafe, confirmed the report in a statement made available to newsmen.
According to him: “Preliminary investigation revealed that the suspect is a member of Eiye Confraternity; a blue beret with a symbol of Eiye Confraternity was also recovered from the suspect.”
