Two of the candidates for the Speakership position, Aliyu Betara and Yusuf Gagdi, have withdrawn their ambitions in favour of Tajudeen Abbas, the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate.
WITHIN NIGERIA reports that following a Sunday meeting with President Bola Tinubu and Vice President Kashim Shettima, they declared their exit from the 10th assembly speakership race.
Tajudeen Abbas and Benjamin Kalu have each received the support of the ruling party , All Progressives Congress for the positions of Speaker and Deputy Speaker of the 10th National Assembly.
