June 12: Tinubu Inspects Guards Of Honour To Mark Ceremony

President Bola Tinubu is inspecting a Guard of Honour at the Presidential Villa’s forecourt in Abuja as part of events planned to commemorate 2023 Democracy Day.

Speaker of the House of Representatives Femi Gbajabiamila, Vice President Kashim Shettima, President of the Senate Ahmad Lawan, Vice President Kashim Shettima, and the Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), Senator George Akume, are all present in the forecourt.

Jide Sanwo-Olu, the governor of Lagos State, Bello Matawalle, the former governor of Zamfara State, Senator Abdullahi Adamu, the national chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), and Senator Iyiola Omisore, the party’s secretary, are also in attendance at the forecourt.

Also awaiting the President are the Chief of Defense Staff, General Lucky Irabor; the service chiefs; Inspector-General of Police; other senior security chiefs and other senior government officials.

Former Vice President to the winner of the June 12 1993 Presidential Election, Ambassador Babagana Kingkibe, is a special feature at the event marking the significance of the June 12, 1993, Presidential election.
