A medical doctor named Aminu Sadiq Jangede was killed by bandits, and 10 individuals, including his family members, were abducted in Jangebe community, Talata Mafara Local Government Area of Zamfara State.
According to residents, the armed men arrived in the community at approximately 1am on Monday, June 12, and began firing shots from different directions.
According to reports, to gain entry into the doctor’s house, the gunmen broke through the wall. Upon entering, they immediately shot and killed him, and then proceeded to take his family members, including his wives, as well as some other residents in the neighborhood.
Additionally, the bandits set fire to a military vehicle near the victim’s residence.
This is coming less than a week when the Zamfara State Governor, Dauda Lawal, reiterated the commitment of his government to tackle banditry in parts of the state.
Lawal gave the assurance when he visited the palace of the Emir of Tsafe, Alhaji Muhammadu Bawa, in Tsafe Local Government Area over the recent attacks in that area.
