Engr. Abba Kabir Yusuf, the governor of Kano State, maintained the pace of the state’s demolition campaign early on Wednesday (today) by bringing down the multi-million naira roundabout next to the entrance to the Government House.
Only a few metres separate the roundabout’s demolition from the Government House entrance, and it was said that the governor personally oversaw it.
The demolition effort, according to information to the Punch, was conducted under strict security control.
The former governor Abdullahi Ganduje’s administration spent N160 million in 2017 remodelling and renovating the iconic multi-million naira roundabout.
Recall that the governor had in the early hours of Sunday demolished shops built by the fence of Sani Abacha Stadium at Kofar Mata, GSS Kofar Nasarawa facing IBB road and buildings by GGSS Dukawuya, Goron Dutse.
