Five of the seven students from the University of Jos (UNIJOS) who were kidnapped on Monday have gotten their freedom back.
While they were studying for the upcoming exams, kidnappers broke into the rented dormitory off the university campus and took the seven to an unidentified location.
Parents claim that the kidnappers wanted a ransom before releasing their children.
After discussions with the abductors, it was discovered that an undisclosed sum was agreed upon, and one of the parents volunteered to give it.
The kidnappers eventually agreed to release five of the seven pupils, leaving two behind.
The source also implied that the kidnappers seized the parent holding the ransom parent’s phone after they had received the ransom money.
