A manhunt has been launched for a now fugitive coach, Iddrisu Suweidu, who brutalised a referee.
Suweidu reportedly assaulted the female referee, Mohammed Sakina Nasara, during a match.
Iddrisu Suweidu is the head coach of Ghanaian women Division One B side, Tiyumba Ladies FC.
Suweidu reportedly assaulted the referee during his side’s home match against Soccer Missionaries Ladies FC in Tamale.
He was said to have stormes the pitch and violently attacked the centre referee after she awarded an indirect free-kick against his team who were leading 1-0.
Ghana Web reported that the referee sustained various degrees of injuries from the attack and was eventually rushed to Tamale Technical University Hospital for medical attention.
The report said the police have already launched a manhunt for coach Suweidu who is now at large.
