The Adamawa senatorial zone of a political group affiliated with the Tinubu/Shettima Campaign group has praised President Bola Tinubu for choosing Nuhu Ribadu as the nation’s National Security Adviser (NSA), stating that the move will strengthen Nigeria’s security system.
In a statement released yesterday, the organization’s coordinator, Hon. DanAsabe Suleiman Kakanda, congratulated Ribadu on the appointment and urged him to step down in accordance with President Tinubu and all Nigerians. Ribadu, according to Kakande, is a man with a thorough awareness of Nigeria’s security situation and the know-how to deal with it. Kakande expressed confidence in the nomination.
He claimed that President Tinubu’s selection of Ribadu as his pick shows a dedication to excellence and a willingness to put together a team of the best minds in national security.
According to the statement, the appointment of the former chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), has shown President Tinubu’s desire to strengthen Nigeria’s security apparatus and ensure the safety of all Nigerians.
’Mallam Ribadu brings a wealth of experience, expertise, and a proven track record in the field of intelligence as an outstanding and highly respected retired police officer.
So, we are convinced that with his wide background in intelligence and security matters, Ribadu has the needed skills and qualities to effectively put an end to security challenges in the country, he said.
He further said that throughout Ribadu’s career, he has consistently demonstrated selfless dedication, deep insight, and a wide understanding of the evolving security challenges in Nigeria and beyond.
With this appointment, we are convinced that a comprehensive and thoughtful approach from his leadership will shape Nigeria’s security situation because he has a reputation for collaborating with agencies and building strong partnerships with international allies, he said.
Kakande said that this collaborative quality will improve Nigeria’s ability to address emerging security threats, promote diplomacy, and ensure the safety of Nigerians both at home and abroad.
