Cyriel Dessers, a Super Eagles forward, has turned down a move to Glasgow Rangers of the Scottish Premiership.
Since the end of the season, the Light Blues have been trying to sign the Nigerian, but it appears they will have to look elsewhere.
According to Calciomercato, Dessers rejected the Gers because he intends to stay in Italy.
Torino are expected to approach Cremonese for his services, and he is interested.
Following Cremonese’s relegation from Serie A, the 28-year-old is attempting to leave the club.
Dessers scored six goals in 26 league appearances for the Tigers last season.
The striker only joined Cremonese from Belgian Pro League outfit, KRC Genk last summer.
