Arsenal are set to submit a £100million offer for West Ham captain Declan Rice, as they try to fend off interest from Manchester City.
The Daily Mail reports that the Hammers are expecting a new bid after a recent offer worth £90m from the Gunners was rejected.
City’s interest in the England midfielder is said to have sharpened the focus at the Emirates, as Mikel Arteta has earmarked the England international as his top target.
Rice is believed to prefer a move to Arsenal than to Manchester, but the issue may be taken out of his hands if Arsenal fail to match West Ham’s valuation.
The Hammers have previously confirmed that their midfielder is almost certain to leave this summer.
