Adesina, Sanwo-Olu to discuss African leadership challenge

Akinwumi Adesina, President of the African Development Bank, and Babajide Sanwo-Olu, Governor of Lagos State, are among the African leaders from the private and public sectors, civil society, and academia who will gather in Lagos for the African Leadership Review Summit and Awards to discuss the continent’s leadership challenges.

The summit, themed ‘Transformational Leadership in a Changing World’ will hold on July 7, 2023, and also center on issues affecting Africa and how the continent can harness its vast resources to enhance the development of the people.

According to Africa Leadership Review Media Limited, the Africa Leadership Excellence Summit would usher in a day of new ideas that would be both informative and inspiring.

The summit will be providing delegates with a greater understanding of how operational effectiveness and efficiency are vital to organisational success. It is aimed at anyone looking to improve leadership competence, organisation performance and networking opportunities, the statement said.

According to Mrs. Ifeioam Emeka, Chief Executive Officer of ALEX 2023, the summit’s organizers, the Excellence in Corporate Enterprise and Leadership Awards are an initiative to recognize selected African personalities and organizations that have had an impact on the development of Africa’s economy through their leadership experience in their various fields of endeavor.

Based on verifiable criteria gathered through voluntary disclosure and opening available data, we seek to rate leadership/institutions on their performance in various aspects of leadership excellence. The essence of the Excel Africa Award is to encourage excellence in leadership and competitiveness in Africa, she said.
