Nigerian lawyer, Inibehe Effiong taunts Pastor David Ibiyeomie on tithe payment comment

A Nigerian lawyer, Inibehe Effiong has tackled Pastor David Ibiyeomie of Salvation Ministries over his tithe payment comment.

WITHIN NIGERIA had earlier reported that the cleric during a sermon on Sunday explained why he can’t pay 10 percent as tithe to God.

Ibiyeomie, who is the founder of Salvation Ministries, said God would flog him if he pays 10 percent as tithe.

The cleric described the refusal to pay tithe as a form of greed.

According to Ibiyeomie, those who don’t tithe find life very tight for them.

But, reacting on WITHIN NIGERIA’S Facebook post on Monday, Rights activist, Inibehe Effiong ridiculed Ibiyeomie’s comment, asking the cleric to send him the account details of God or heaven so as to follow his footsteps through tithe paying.

“Can you send me the account details of God or heaven so I can follow your footsteps?” the post read.

Some Netizen have also commended lawyer Inibehe over his question.

Ibiyeomie, the General Overseer of Salvation Ministries was earlier in the news this week, for expressing his concern towards white garment churches due to his belief that they manipulate people’s destinies.

The clergyman insisted that white garment church officials use demonic psalms and rituals to alter children’s destinies, hence the reason children start acting in ways they never had before.
