Taraba varsity bans sale of lecturers’ handouts, textbooks

Taraba State University students are happy that the administration has prohibited instructors from selling handouts and textbooks to students.

On Thursday, the administration also made a statement prohibiting the collecting of unapproved fees from students.

The statement, which was made in a circular and signed by Yakubu D. Fwa, Deputy Registrar, Academics, was issued through the office of the school registrar.

Any instructor who disobeyed the order would be held accountable, it stated.

Some of the pupils, who could not contain their joy, said the school administration’s move was the nicest gift they had ever gotten during Sallah.

They urged the authorities not to relent in checking the lecturers as some of them would still go ahead to secretly force their handouts or textbooks on the students.
