Mateo Mejia, a 20-year-old attacker, has signed a new contract with Manchester United, according to the Red Devils.

This was revealed by Man United on Wednesday in a statement posted on their website.

Mejia transferred from Real Zaragoza to Man United in 2019.

He scored twice in Premier League 2 last season, including one against Arsenal at Old Trafford, giving him plenty of experience.

“Congratulations to Mateo, and we look forward to watching him in 2023/24,” Man United’s statement read in part.

Meanwhile, Leicester City striker Jamie Vardy has turned down the chance to join Saudi Arabian side Khaleej FC, Sky Sports reports.

Vardy believes the Saudi move would not suit his family.

The Englishman has 12 months remaining on his current contract with Leicester but could yet remain at the King Power Stadium to help fire the Foxes back into the Premier League after they suffered relegation last season.

He is yet to discuss his future with new Leicester City manager Enzo Maresca.
