General Lucky Irabor (retd), the immediate former Chief of Defence Staff, has officially retired from the Nigerian Armed Forces.
On Friday, he retired from the Mogadishu Cantonment in Asokoro, Abuja.
The draw out ceremony is part of the military’s custom of honouring retiring generals. The ceremony included a march past by Nigerian Army officers, among others.
Past Chiefs of Defence, Army, Navy, and Air Staff, among others, attended the event.
Irabor was appointed CDS in January 2021 and retired alongside others on June 19, following the appointment of new service chiefs by President Bola Tinubu.
