The National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON) revealed that six Nigerians were confirmed dead over the course of the five-day Hajj rites in Mina and Arafat.
The overall number of pilgrims who lost their lives at this year’s Hajj now stands at 13.
Dr. Usman Galadima, the Head of the Medical Mission for NAHCON, announced this during a current Makkah stakeholders meeting.
According to Dr. Galadima, two Nigerian women gave birth during the five-day Hajj rites.
He claims that 93 emergency cases, including three cases of chicken pox, were attended to.
