Daniel Bwala, an aide to the Peoples Democratic Party’s presidential candidate in the 2023 general election, has denounced the pace of poverty in the country.
Bwala, a former federal lawmaker, bemoaned the country’s high cost of basic necessities such as food, transportation, products and services, medical care, and school tuition.
Bwala said in a post on his verified Twitter handle on Sunday that he receives at least 30 calls every day from people seeking assistance.
He wrote, “Nigerians are suffering; men, this is too much. High cost of everything; food items, transportation, goods and services, medicals, school fees.
“No day I get less than 30 calls, people are asking for just these simple things to survive in a nation endowed with every riches in natural and human resources. God help us.”
