Senator Ireti Kingibe of the Federal Capital Territory has urged residents of towns affected by floods in the FCT to remain calm as essential efforts are taken to handle the problem.

Senator Ireti, who was on an evaluation visit to TradeMore Estate, located along the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport Motorway in Abuja, a settlement recently impacted by the natural disaster, promised residents that due procedure would be followed in resolving all concerns caused by the phenomena.

It was stated that the estate was flooded after a one-hour heavy downpour. Many vehicles were stolen. Houses were submerged up to their roofs, and many of them collapsed.
