  • The Progressives Northern Professionals (PNP) have called on President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to appoint Ahmed Nasser, a consummate technocrat with a track record of success
  • The PNP highlighted Nasser’s extensive experience and pedigree, emphasizing that he would be an asset to the new government and play a key role in executing Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Action Plan
  • The group praised Nasser’s contributions to the party’s election campaign in the North Central zone, particularly in Kogi State, where he funded various activities through the Nasser Ahmed Support Group for Tinubu Shettima

The Progressives Northern Professionals (PNP) have urged President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to appoint one of their own as a minister to the Federal Executive Council (FEC).

In a statement issued over the weekend, the group’s secretary-general, Bello Abdullahi, said Ahmed Nasser is best suited to serve as a minister under President Tinubu due to his extensive track record, experience, and pedigree.

Nasser, according to Abdullahi, is a consummate technocrat who will be an asset to the new government.

He also stated that if elected, he would see to it that Tinubu’s proclaimed Renewed Hope Action Plan in the areas of housing, trade, and investment is carried out.

Abdullahi went on to say that Nasser played a significant role in the North Central zone electioneering campaign, particularly in Kogi State, where he funded a series of activities that promoted the party.

He stated that the Kogi-born politician accomplished this through the Nasser Ahmed Support Group for Tinubu Shettima campaign organisation, which has its headquarters in Garki, Abuja.

As an international housing expert with relevant experience in international investment, the group stated that “he (Nasser) is a man of proven character and integrity, a typical technocrat with a zeal to serve.”

He is man known in many circle as a goal getter and individual who always strives to deliver results in any giving task, Abdullahi stated.

The group appealed to President Tinubu to include Nasser in the yet-to-be-formed cabinet in the interest of the development and growth of the country.

What El-rufai will do to Tinubu if he loses at presidential election tribunal – Shehu Sani

Shehu Sani, a socio-political activist, has said the outcome of the Presidential election petition will determine what the future holds for President Bola Tinubu.

The outspoken former senator said the opposition may congratulate Tinubu or decry the judgement if the court affirms his victory.

In a terse post on his Twitter page on Monday, Sani said it’s the immediate past governor of Kaduna state, Nasir El-rufai, Tinubu, should be wary of if he loses at the tribunal.

He said only God could save Tinubu if he lost at the tribunal, adding that El-rufai, whom he described as an emperor, would tear into him.

According to Sani:

If the court favours Tinubu and his victory is affirmed, the opposition may congratulate him or condemn the ruling and move on.

If the court ruled against Tinubu and he lost the presidency, only God will save him from the mouth of the ex-Kaduna emperor and his next Book “How we made him and he betrayed us.
