- Delays in deal’s conclusion caused by Arsenal’s lawyers
- Arsenal are now expected to announce its club-record signing any time from now
Arsenal are putting finishing touches to their purchase of England football star, Delan Rice.
This is as the North London club sent the necessary paperwork to West Ham for the completion of deal, according to Sky Sports.
The Hammers have now signed off the deal, eight days after they agreed to a fee with the Gunners.
The slowness was being caused by delays with the paperwork being drawn up by Arsenal’s lawyers.
Arsenal is now expected to announce its club-record signing before Mikel Arteta’s men fly out to the US for a pre-season tour on Sunday.
Rice is understood to have passed his medical already and had been training regularly while on holiday in Portugal.
The England midfielder will become Arsenal’s third major signing this summer after Kai Havertz and Jurrien Timber.
