She assured the governors' wives that the RHI would not interfere with their personal programmes or projects

Oluremi Tinubu

Sen. Oluremi Tinubu, the First Lady, has stated that she will need the help of the wives of state governors to reach every corner of the country.

She stated this in her office on Friday during a meeting with the wives of the 36 state governors to formally introduce and acquaint them with the goals and objectives of her pet project, Renewed Hope Initiative (RHI).

According to Busola Kukoyi, Mrs Tinubu’s spokesperson, “looking at the past can most assuredly chart a path for the present and future, and this can best be done collectively for better and more sustainable impact.”

She assured the governors’ wives that the RHI would not interfere with their personal programmes or projects, and she believes their support would be significant.

I wish to remind each of us that the exalted positions we are in today should be seen as an opportunity to impact more meaningfully, not only in the lives of people in your states but Nigeria as a whole, she said.

The First Lady congratulated the governors’ wives on the successful conduct of the 2023 elections that elected their husbands and reminded them that it was time to keep promises made during the elections.

Speaking, Amb. Olufolake Abdulrazak, wife of Kwara State governor, assured of the governors’ wives’ willingness and commitment to support the project.

Why Nigeria must turn to Gas as alternative energy source

Nasarawa State Governor Abdullahi Sule has said the new global energy order propelled by gas resources would end high fuel costs and douse concerns by environmentalists over pollution.

He spoke when he laid the foundation for the $2 million first Liquefied Natural Gas(LNG) and Liquefied Compressed Natural Gas(LCNG) facility in the North Central region in Lafia, the state capital.

The project with 23 metric tonnes of LNG, 1,500 SCM LCNG capacity is to be established by Greenville LNG Limited.

He said Greenville had taken the lead in fast-tracking the clean gas revolution in Nigeria with the establishment of many gas hubs that are catering for Small and Medium Enterprises and other businesses.
