Nicole Payne has signed a three-year contract with Paris Saint-Germain’s women’s team.

Payne, 22, is Toni Payne’s younger sister, who plays for the Super Falcons in this year’s FIFA Women’s World Cup in Australia and New Zealand.

Paris Saint-Germain is pleased to announce the arrival of Nicole Payne,” PSG announced on their Twitter handle on Thursday.

The Nigerian international defender joins Les Rouge et Bleu until June 2026.

Payne was a member of the Super Falcons team that finished fourth in Morocco at the 2022 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations.

On 10 June 2021, she made her senior debut for Nigeria as a 90th-minute substitute in a 1-0 friendly loss to Jamaica.

Payne was born in Birmingham, Alabama, and after playing for Concorde Fire, an Atlanta-based club, he transferred to the University of West Virginia in 2019 and spent three seasons with the “Montaineers” (53 matches, four goals).

In 2022, she returned to the University of Southern California to further her career and studies in psychology.

She played in every game this season, accumulating a total of 16 games and three goals.

She also represented the United States at the U15, U16, U17, and U18 levels before being called up to the Super Falcons in 2021 and earning two caps.

Burnley agree deal with Espanyol for Nigerian winger

Newly promoted club Burnley have agreed on a deal with Espanyol to sign Nigerian winger Luca Koleosho this summer.

This is according to the English media outfit the Daily Telegraph.

Koleosho is highly rated at Espanyol and has already made six senior appearances for the Spanish outfit.

The 18-year-old made his debut for Espanyol against Granada in May 2022, and last season, he scored his first senior goal against Almeria in a 3-3 draw.
