The Department of State Services (DSS) has said that it will investigate the confrontation between its representatives and those of the Nigerian Correctional Service (NCoS) on July 25 at the federal high court in Ikoyi.
The DSS has further begun thorough investigations into the situation, according to a statement released on Wednesday by Peter Afunanya, the agency’s spokesperson.
The custody of Godwin Emefiele, the suspended governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), has previously been the subject of a reported confrontation between DSS agents and jail guards.
The fight occurred in front of Nicholas Oweibo’s courtroom at the federal high court in Ikoyi, Lagos.
