The National Assembly’s gate in Abuja was torn down by irate demonstrators.
Joe Ajaero of the Nigeria Labour Congress and Festus Osifo of the Trade Union Congress, leaders of the demonstrators, requested that security personnel stationed at the legislative building open the gates so that the irate workers may vent their resentment.
