  • Arrests result from new operational measures to curb kidnapping
  • State improves response time, intelligence, and visibility to combat kidnapping activities.

The Adamawa State Police Command has arrested 14 people for alleged kidnapping activities.

The command said in a statement on Thursday that the arrests resulted from the implementation of fresh operational modalities to curb kidnapping activities in the state.

“Commissioner of Police Afolabi Babatola worked out the strategy, which yielded another success as 14 suspects were apprehended,” the statement said.

Signed and released by the Adamawa State Police Command spokesperson, SP Suleiman Nguroje, the statement disclosed that the suspects were picked up with five AK-47 rifles and two locally fabricated guns with 22 rounds of live ammunition.
