Prof. Yemi Osinbajo, Nigeria’s immediate past Vice President, has explained why he missed the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) caucus meeting.
According to a letter of apology addressed to the acting APC chairman, Abubakar Kyari, Osinbajo stated that he was too busy with international duties abroad to attend the meeting.
On the other hand, the former VP reaffirmed his commitment to the ruling party, saying he cancelled some of his international engagements to attend the party’s two previously scheduled caucus meetings, which were later postponed.
He expressed his party’s loyalty and availability for future meetings and activities, wishing the APC fruitful discussions.
In the ruling party’s presidential primary, Osinbajo, an estranged ally of President Bola Tinubu, faced off against the president.
Why I Can’t Attend APC Caucus And NEC Meetings – Buhari
Former President Muhammadu Buhari has explained his inability to attend the caucus and National Executive Committee (NEC) meetings of the All Progressives Congress, APC.
Buhari, who was invited to the meeting by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, conveyed his apologies, indicating that he is unable to attend due to commitments earlier made.
He also used the opportunity to express his support and commitment to the APC, wishing it a good meeting as the leaders take decisions on issues of importance to the party and Nigeria at large.
Buhari’s former media aide, Garba Shehu, disclosed this in a tweet on Wednesday.
