I Won’t Let You Down, Barau Reassures Kano APC Leaders

Mukaddas told the legislator that his performance as senator representing Kano North since 2015 has been outstanding

Senator Jibrin Barau

Barau Jibrin, Deputy President of the Senate, has assured stakeholders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kano North Senatorial District that he will not fail them in his duties.

Ismail Mudashir, Barau’s Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, quoted him as saying this when Kano party leaders led by their chairman, Sani Mukaddas, paid the Deputy Senate President a courtesy call on Monday at the Senate.

Mukaddas told the legislator that his performance as senator representing Kano North since 2015 has been outstanding and impressive.

The projects you have provided across the 13 local government areas of our senatorial district, Kano North are evidence of your outstanding performance. We are grateful, the party leader said.

He said the party leadership was not surprised when Barau emerged as the Deputy President of the Senate on June 13, this year, unopposed.

We are not surprised when you emerged as the Deputy President of the Senate unopposed. This shows you have the support of your colleagues. We are also with you 100 percent and we are proud of you. You have impacted positively on every household in our senatorial district, he said.

In response, the Senate Deputy President thanked the party leaders for their support, assuring them that “I will not let you down.”

He claimed that the APC’s success in the senatorial district was due to the excellent leadership provided by the party.

Ganduje Receives 14 Kano Lawmakers, Urges Cooperation With Gov Yusuf

Members of the Kano House of Assembly who were elected on the APC platform have been urged by Abdulahi Ganduje, the party’s national chairman, to cooperate with state governor Abba Yusuf.

He asserted that Kano residents, regardless of party affiliation, are entitled to democratic benefits and that in order to obtain them, they must cooperate fully with the governor.

The APC was defeated by the New Nigerian Peoples Party (NNPP) in the general election of 2023 for the governorship of Kano.
