Representative Philip Agbese, Deputy Chairman of the House Committee on Media and Public Affairs, has outlined the principal focus of the 10th house as operating an open parliament characterized by transparency and accountability. He shared this perspective in a statement released in Abuja on Saturday, underscoring the commitment of the 10th house to establishing an open legislative body that contributes to a more prosperous Nigeria.
Representing the Ado/Okpokwu/Ogbadibo Federal Constituency in Benue, Agbese emphasized that Speaker Tajudeen Abbas and the house leadership have already taken strides to initiate efforts that will contribute to shaping a more ideal nation.
He highlighted that the 10th house is resolutely dedicated to fulfilling its pledges to the Nigerian populace, both individually and collectively as a legislative body. Key focal areas of the house include economic empowerment, fostering a conducive business environment, ensuring accountable governance, preserving personal freedoms, promoting social cohesion, enhancing safety and security, and advancing education and healthcare.
Agbese stressed that in line with this agenda, the leadership has devised a pro-citizen strategy aimed at enhancing the welfare of Nigerians.
