Again, gunmen attack Bauchi communities, abduct 4

At least four persons have been reportedly abducted by gunmen in a fresh attack on some communities in Ningi Local Government Area of Bauchi State

Ningi LGA has become susceptible to attacks in recent times due to its closeness to Lame-Burra Forest Reserve, a hideout for kidnappers.

Among those abducted are a 20-year-old nursing mother and three males.

Locals, who spoke with newsmen in confidence, said the first attack occurred on Thursday in Sanger settlement in Kwangoro village, where one person was abducted.

Another resident said that gunmen invaded Billiri Gorore village in Lumbu community on Saturday night and kidnapped two persons identified as Alhaji Chibi and Alhaji Siba.

The gunmen reportedly attacked Yadagungume town on the same Saturday and abducted the 20-year-old nursing mother, according to Daily Post

However, details are still sketchy on whether the kidnappers have contacted family members of the captives to demand ransom.

The caretaker chairman of Ningi LGA, Ibrahim Zubairu, told DAILY POST that he had mobilised security personnel to the affected communities immediately after he received the news.

The spokesman of the Bauch State Police Command, Ahmed Wakili, did not respond to messages and calls seeking confirmation of the incidents.
