The national chairman of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, was asked on Thursday, August 31, by certain presidential contenders for the opposition parties in the 2023 general elections to convince President Bola Tinubu for inclusion in his administration.
At the APC’s national secretariat in Abuja, they requested a courtesy visit with the party’s chairman.
The Action Democratic Party (ADP), National Rescue Movement (NRM), and Action Peoples Party (APP), among others, and the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) are among the political parties that have candidates for president.
The candidates who are affiliated with the Forum of Concerned Presidential Candidates stated that they made their choice not to contest President Tinubu’s victory at the Presidential Election Petition Tribunal (PEPT) in light of the need for peace and the development of the nation.
The spokespersons of the forum and Presidential candidate of the National Rescue Movement (NRM), Ambassador Felix Johnson Osakwe, assured the president and the party that they were for peace.
