The government of Zamfara State has stated that it will not negotiate with bandits.

Hon. Mannir Mu’azu Haidara, Commissioner of Information and Culture, stated this while wrapping up a familiarization visit to media organizations in Lagos over the weekend.

According to the commissioner, Governor Dauda Lawal will support all security agencies in their efforts to rid the state of rogue bandits.

Concerning governance, the commissioner stated that the current administration is working to restore sanity.

He also stated that the governor’s first priority was to ensure that the three months of unpaid wages left by the previous administration were settled, while also focusing on efforts to settle all other worker entitlements.

Currently, some urban development projects have begun and are ongoing, and more projects will be launched in both urban and rural areas.

Concerning education, the commissioner stated that a plan is in place to ensure that the quality of education is improved at all levels and that the learning environment is upgraded to a suitable level.

Years of bad governance had left Zamfara behind in many ways. Now, Governor Dauda Lawal has taken the daunting task of creating a new Zamfara that will be on track of progress and development. It is a huge task that will require a lot of resources, but Gov. Dauda Lawal has the will and the massive support of the people of Zamfara state to make this possible, the commissioner said.
