BREAKING: Fire guts Lagos International Airport


Fire has broken out at a section of the Murtala Mohammed international airport in Lagos.

The fire incident happened at the primary gateway section of the airport on Wednesday morning.

The incident hasengendered confusion and pandemonium at the international wing of Murtala Muhammed Airport.

According Nigerian Tribune, the inferno emanated from a malfunctioning cable on the Tarmac.

The fire was said to have already damaged a portion of the FAAN administrative office the previous night.

“All passengers and staff were asked to evacuate the building while the Lagos State Fire service was on hand to complement that of the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN).”
