Ekiti CP orders discreet investigation into death of FUOYE student

The Ekiti State Commissioner of Police, CP Ogundare Dare, has ordered a thorough investigation into the cause of the death of Atanda Modupe Deborah, a 200-level nursing student at the Federal University, Oye-Ekiti (FUOYE).

Deborah was declared missing on Tuesday, September 5, and her body was later found buried in a shallow grave at a distance of about 30 metres behind the nursing lecture hall with her eyes reportedly plucked out.

CP Dare, in a statement on Thursday, appealed to the general public to be calm and vowed that the command would do everything possible to unearth the identity of the perpetrators and ensure they were made to face the full wrath of the law.

He stated that the body of the deceased has been deposited in the morgue for autopsy, while 10 suspects are currently in custody undergoing investigation.
