- Warns unsuspecting and desperate job seekers to take caution in order not to fall victim of fraudsters and scammers
Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, (NSCDC), has alerted Nigerians on the circulation of fake and invalid employment letters purportedly from the Corps, warning unsuspecting and desperate job seekers to take caution in order not to fall victim of fraudsters and scammers.
According to a statement credited to the Crops Public Relations Officer, (PRO), Babawale Afolabi, the Corps have been inundated with complaints from victims who had parted with their hard earned money ranging from N250,000 to N500,000 before they are issued the fake letters only to get to the NSCDC office and find out that they have been scammed.
”The Commandant General of the NSCDC Dr. Ahmed Audi, would like to alert the public of the fake and malicious employment letters currently circulating in the country and to state categorically and unequivocally that the misleading and criminal employment letters did not emanate from the NSCDC nor from the Fire, Immigration and Correctional Service Board but the handwork of yet to be identified and faceless criminal minded individuals who are taking undue advantage of desperate job seekers in the country, ”btye statement contains.
It states further that the commandant general has ordered for nationwide manhunt of members of the syndicate behind the viral NSCDC employment letters adding that efforts are already yielding positive results.
