  • Six vehicles associated with these suspects were confiscated as part of the operation.
  • The suspects employed a deceptive tactic, using vehicles with mixed foreign and local license plates to deceive unsuspecting citizens

The Federal Capital Territory Police Command apprehended six individuals posing as legitimate drivers, engaged in criminal activities within the nation’s capital.

FCT Commissioner of Police, Haruna Garba, disclosed this during a press conference at the command’s headquarters on Thursday.

Furthermore, six vehicles linked to these suspects were confiscated. The Commissioner clarified that these suspects were employing a deceptive tactic by using vehicles displaying a combination of foreign and local license plates, or foreign plates at the rear and Nigerian plates at the front, to deceive unsuspecting citizens.

He further explained that their modus operandi involved luring passengers into their vehicles and, during the journey, robbing them of their mobile phones and other valuable belongings.
