- Super Eagles midfielder Alex Iwobi is set to make his Fulham debut against Luton Town after recovering from injury
- Defender Tosin Adarabioyo will be out for six to seven weeks due to injury, disrupting his proposed move to Monaco
Fulham manager Marco Silva has confirmed that Super Eagles midfielder Alex Iwobi is in contention to make his Fulham debut when his team hosts Luton Town at Craven Cottage on Saturday (today).
Iwobi joined the Cottagers from Everton on the final day of the transfer window for a fee of £22 million.
Silva revealed ahead of his side’s clash with the Hatters that the 27-year-old will be involved in some capacity.
Iwobi was injured against Everton but has been declared fit for the game.
Iwobi is going to be involved in the squad list, Silva said.
He came injured when he signed with us, but since the start of this week he’s been involved in the squad list.
Calvin Bassey, who served a one-game suspension, is also expected to play in the game.
During Fulham’s 2-2 draw with Arsenal at the Emirates, the 22-year-old defender was sent off for a second caution after blocking Eddie Nketiah on a counter-attack.
Bassey had previously received a yellow card from referee Paul Tierney for taking too long at a goal-kick.
Silva also stated that defender Tosin Adarabioyo will be out for six to seven weeks due to an injury. Adarabioyo’s proposed move to French Ligue 1 club Monaco fell through on deadline day because Fulham could not find a suitable replacement. He has only played one minute of Premier League football this season.
