Kogi: Angry Mob Beat Suspected Private Part Thief To Stupor

ASP William Aya confirmed that the police have received reports and are currently monitoring the situation

In Lokoja, Kogi State, a man who was allegedly stealing magical manhoods was beaten into a coma on Tuesday.

The incident occurred when the suspect bought bread from a store on Lokoja’s Dunamis Church Road.

The business owner first experienced confusion when he received a shock to the body and then touched his manhood only to find that it was missing.

When neighbours and bystanders heard the suspect scream and cry out for help, they attacked him and gave him the most brutal beating of his life.

An eyewitness, Michael Nwankwo, said the suspect confessed to the crime after the thorough beating and expressed joy that the manhood of the shop owner had been restored.

Similar incidents have occurred in Ganaja and Karaworo in the state capital, with each suspect receiving mob action.

Confirming this, the Police Public Relations Officer, ASP William Aya, said the police have received reports and are monitoring the situations.

He cautioned the public not to take the law into their own hands, warning that once there is such allegation, the people should report to the police to enable them to conduct a proper investigation.

He warned that anybody who takes the law into his/her own hands, if arrested, will be prosecuted according to the law.
