Super Eagles winger, Moses Simon was at his best mettle as he scored a goal and bagged two assists as Nantes defeated Lorient 5-3 in Saturday’s Ligue 1 game.
The Nigerian international, who was making his sixth appearance, had a decent display for Nantes.
It was Lorient that took the early lead through Eli Kroupi Jr in the sixth minute before Abline leveled parity for the host in the 42nd minute thanks to an assist from Simon.

However, Faivre reduced the scoreline to 3-2 when he netted in the 75th minute before Mollet scored a brilliant goal to make it 4-2 thanks to another assist from the Nigerian international.
Aiyegun netted for Lorient to reduce the scoreline to 4-3, but Simon ensure the game is put to bed when he netted a penalty to all but end any comeback from Lorient.
The win move Nantes to sixth on the league table on eight points while Lorient sit 14th on six points.
In another story, Samuel Chukwueze was named among the substitute as AC Milan defeated Hellas Verona 1-0 in their Serie A clash at that San Siro.
Portugal international Rafael Leao scored the winning goal in the sixth minute.
It ended a run of two games without a win for the Rooseneri.
