Ademola Adeleke

Ademola Adeleke, the governor of Osun State, has requested assistance from the Tertiary Education Trust Fund (TETFund) to strengthen the infrastructural development of the state’s tertiary institutions.

Adeleke stated that his request for assistance was motivated by a drop in educational standards.

The governor, who decried the state’s educational decline during a courtesy visit to the executive secretary of TETFund, Sonny Echono Abuja, said the visit was necessary to ensure that education takes pride.

While praising the Fund for its role in revitalizing tertiary education, Adeleke stated that there is almost no development in tertiary institutions that cannot be traced back to the TETFund.

There is no institution that you will not see TETFund presence, so any right- thinking governor must commend their work so that they can do more, he said.

Responding, Echono said tertiary education played a special role in the affairs and even the destiny of any country.

He explained that Nigerians would do better in every field when equipped with the best facilities and the enabling environment to excel.
