He emphasized that peace is a prerequisite for national progress and that achieving it frequently necessitates sacrifices.
Similarly, Reverend Ma’aji Caleb, State Secretary of CAN, reminded Christians that their religious scripture teaches them to coexist peacefully with others.

The Executive Vice-Chairman of the Kaduna State Peace Commission, Dr. Saleh B. Momale, emphasized this year’s Peace Day theme, “Actions for Peace: Our Ambition for Global Goals,” as a call to action.
He emphasized the critical importance of individuals and groups taking collective responsibility for pursuing peace.
He urged all citizens, no matter how small, to contribute to the noble goal of achieving lasting peace within their spheres of influence. He explained that the goal of this collective effort is to foster peace within families, communities, villages, cities, states, countries, and, eventually, the entire world.
