Dr. Ahmed Abubakar Audi, the commandant-general of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), has congratulated all Muslims in the nation and abroad on this year’s Eid-Maloud celebration.
The Corps National Public Relations Officer, CSC Afolabi Babawale, stated in a statement that the CG urged everyone to embrace and uphold peace as demonstrated by the life of Prophet Mohammed (SAW).
According to the statement, the CG expressed shock at the wave of insecurity afflicting the nation and urged the populace to continue supporting the government’s peace initiatives by working with state actors to combat the threat.
He admonished the public to keep faith in agencies saddled with the responsibilities of ensuring law and order, assuring that the ugly situation must be confronted.
He reiterated the determination of the Corps to protect critical national assets and infrastructure and its resolve to protect lives and property as it works in synergy with sister agencies with the collaboration of all and sundry.
