The Police have arrested three armed robbery suspects in Ringim local government Jigawa State.
Spokesman of the command, DSP Lawan Shiisu Adam confirmed the arrest in a statement issued on Monday.
The statement said, ”the Police in Ringim division on Saturday received a report that unknown armed men numbering about four, criminally trespassed into a house at Kakikankare village in Ringim local government and went away with a motor vehicle, golf 3 wagon green in colour with registration number RNG 691 AA Jigawa State”
“The vehicle is valued at N1.8 million, also stolen were (2) Tecno phone keypad, ATM card, Voter card, National I.D card, Custom duty, Vigilante I.D. card”
DSP Shiisu said on receiving the information, the detective from Ringim Division swiftly swung into action and succeeded in arresting three suspects.
“On Sunday October 01st we succeeded in arresting three suspects including; Yakubu Adamu, Hamisu Adamu and Abubakar Sani all of Narewa village, Ringim LGA”
He said the suspects were arrested and recovered one Beretta pistol with four Ammunition in their possession.
He said on interrogation, the suspects confessed to having participated in the offence, they further revealed that the vehicle was already sold at Maradi City in Niger Republic.
DSP Shiisu said efforts are on to arrest the remaining suspects and recover the stolen vehicle.
